Martha Wright received a Bachelor of Music Education
(BME) on an accompanying scholarship from the University of
Central Arkansas, Conway, Arkansas, USA, as a voice major
and piano minor, studying with Kodaly specialist, Dr. Anne
Patterson, and Dr. Don Collins, author and authority of the
boy’s changing voice and founder of the Cambiata Press, Dr.
Mark Hansen and Dr. Martha Antolik.
Ms. Wright, a former school teacher of all levels, private voice
and piano instructor, formed the West Tennessee Youth Chorus in 1996. |

Her ability to administrate, conduct, arrange, perform, and nurture,
coupled with hard work and perseverance has made the WTCC/WTYC in record time,
into one of the premier children’s choir programs in the United States. |

Ms. Wright is sought after as a soloist, accompanist, adjudicator and conductor of
local and regional school, community, and church choirs.

In 2000,
Bryan Kidd, chief composer and arranger of the US Navy Band and Ms. Wright collaborated on an
arrangement which was performed nationally and locally by the Memphis Symphony and the WTYC.

Ms. Wright also wrote many of the vocal arrangements for the instrumentation
scored by the US Marine Band arranger, Steve Bulla, for the 2004 nationally televised
Pageant of Peace-Presidential
Christmas Tree Lighting. |

In 2003, Ms. Wright was given the momentous task of putting a 200 voice choir of lay singers
together for a church regional conference held at the Desoto Civic Center in Southaven, Mississippi. |
|
A wife, mother of four grown children, and a very proud
grandmother, Mrs. Wright resides near Memphis, Tennessee. |
